Where are the apartments located?

Hilltop Developments is located at 501 Braecrest Drive on Brandon’s North Hill, approximately 1.6 km (one mile) south of the Trans-Canada Highway, and 1.6 km (one mile) north of Brandon’s city centre. The cross streets are Bluebird Street (to the north of Braecrest Drive) and Knowlton Drive (to the south of Braecrest Dr.). Braecrest Drive is a main thoroughfare connecting 1st Street (Highway 1A) with 18th Street (Highway #10).

What sizes of apartments are available?

When fully completed, Hilltop Developments will have a total of 108 units spread across nine buildings containing 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom suites, some with two bathrooms.

What amenities are included?

Amenities can vary based on suite size and layout. All apartments feature in-suite laundry, dishwashers, and air conditioning. Second- and third-level apartments include a balcony. On-site parking is provided, and the cost of water utilities is included in the monthly lease.

What utilities are tenants responsible for?

Water is included in the monthly lease payment. The tenant is responsible for all costs related to electricity (hydro), telephone, cable, and internet.

Is the building pre-wired for internet services?

Yes, the building is pre-wired for cable and internet services. These are available at cost to the tenant and are not included in the monthly lease payment

Is visitor parking available?

Yes, the parking lot provides a number of visitor parking spaces in close proximity to each building.

What services are located nearby?

Hilltop Developments is located near the following services: Corral Centre (3 minutes away), featuring big-box shopping outlets and dining options, including Walmart Supercentre, Home Depot, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, Safeway, Best Buy, Manitoba Liquor Mart, Winners, Montana’s BBQ & Bar, Dairy Queen; The Paddock (3 minutes away) featuring Westoba Credit Union, Wheat City Medical Clinic and other services; Brandon’s Community Sportsplex (5-minute walk south) with swimming pool, ice rink, and racquetball courts; Assiniboine Community College’s North Hill Campus (5 blocks east), featuring the Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts (MICA) and the Len Evans Centre for Trades and Technology; and Northern Pines Golf Course (5-minute walk west).

Are pets permitted?

Of the buildings currently available for occupancy, pets are permitted in Building A,C,D and F, pets are not permitted in buildings B and E. This building has a total of twelve 2- and 3-bedroom suites.

Are there any parks located nearby?

Yes, Winston Churchill Park is located across the street and features a children’s playground. The North Hill Dog Park is located just a few minutes west along the south side of Braecrest Drive. And just a short walk further west is Hanbury Hill (toboggan hill), a popular winter destination for North Hill families. A children’s spray park is located a few blocks down Knowlton Drive at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex. Other parks nearby are Dinsdale Park on 1st Street, and Brandon Riverbank and Festival Park at 18th Street and Kirkcaldy Drive.

What schools are located nearby?

Kirkcaldy Heights School (grades K-8) is located at 10 Knowlton Drive, just a 5-minute walk south of Hilltop Developments. More information on Brandon’s elementary, middle and high schools is available on the Brandon School Division website. Also located nearby (5 blocks east) is the Assiniboine Community College’s North Hill Campus and the Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts. Brandon University is just 3 km south, an approximately 5-minute drive.
